About Me
I find practicing psychotherapy to be both art and science. There is a strong science behind much of what psychologists do, particularly as we have learned more about the brain. The art comes from weaving together knowledge, skills, intuition, empathy, and experience.
Throughout my life, I have been interested in people and their behavior across various spheres of life. Studying anthropology, sociology, and psychology has given me a deep appreciation of the diverse cultural, social, and psychological contexts from which we may operate.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I applied this understanding to the world of work and organizational behavior. I still maintain a small management consulting practice focused on executive coaching, leadership development, team effectiveness, and organizational change.
